Established in 1991 in İskenderun Sarıseki with the strong vision and experience of Diler Holding, Yazıcı Iron & Steel was founded to respond to the needs of Türkiye’s rapidly developing construction sector. Shortly after its establishment, the Company significantly increased its production capacity through a modernization initiative launched to meet rising sectoral demand and through the commissioning of a high-capacity steel plant investment in 1994.
Today, our integrated production facility, operating on an area of approximately 180,000 square meters, stands out as one of Türkiye’s most technologically advanced steel production centers. With an annual liquid steel production capacity approaching 1,050,000 tons and finished steel production nearing 1,000,000 tons, Yazıcı Iron & Steel redefines competitive standards in the sector.
Our facility delivers high performance and consistent quality even under the most demanding production conditions, supported by modern production lines ranging from a 90-ton high-capacity electric arc furnace to a six-strand continuous casting machine. Our rolling mill facilities offer a broad and flexible production range through the first rolling line providing products in the 8–50 mm range and the Yazıcı 2 Rolling Mill investment with an annual capacity of 268,000 tons.
The Yazıcı 2 facility plays a critical role in high-quality production with its 40 ton per hour reheating furnace, triple semi-continuous preparation stands, thirteen double continuous rolling stands, controlled water-cooling unit, and 30-meter-long cooling bed.
Port infrastructure constitutes one of Yazıcı Iron and Steel’s most significant logistical advantages. Through our two ports, with an annual handling capacity of 15,000,000 tons and capable of accommodating vessels up to 180,000 DWT, we manage high-volume shipments in a flexible and efficient manner. This strong logistical capability enables our products to reach both domestic and export markets in a timely, reliable, and efficient way.
Our gas plant, which forms one of the cornerstones of our production quality, operates at the center of our steelmaking processes with a capacity of 220 tons per day of gaseous oxygen, 6.8 tons per day of liquid oxygen, 300 tons per day of gaseous nitrogen, 6 tons per day of liquid nitrogen, and 8.5 tons per day of liquid argon. Through this high-capacity production support, we ensure the uninterrupted supply of gases that are critical to steel production at international quality standards, safeguarding production continuity while consistently enhancing product quality.
Our product portfolio includes carbon steels, spring steels, free-cutting steels, and structural steels, as well as unalloyed and low-alloy, low and medium carbon steels manufactured in compliance with national and international standards. We produce plain and ribbed reinforcing bars in the 8 mm to 50 mm diameter range in accordance with high quality standards and deliver them to global markets with quality and reliability through our extensive export network extending from Türkiye to the Middle East, the Far East, Europe, North Africa, and the Americas.
Since our establishment, we have steadily enhanced the sustainability and efficiency of our production processes through continuous investments, advanced technological applications implemented in our facilities, and ongoing improvement initiatives. With the comprehensive modernization investments completed in 2007, we further strengthened Yazıcı Iron and Steel’s leading position in the sector by elevating the capacity and quality standards of both our rolling mill and steel plant facilities.
